Program Launched The prices are quite reasonable running at five dollars
for a round robin double-game pass, $10 for the semi-finals day pass, $12
for the gold and bronze medal games day pass, and $35 for a full
tournament pass. Fans that enjoyed the excitement of sledge hockey during the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics will be won over by this hard-hitting, uniquely Canadian sport. Wheelchair rugby was invented in Winnipeg in 1977 and has been designated a Canadian Heritage Sport. This is the first time since 1998 that the World Wheelchair Rugby Championships have taken place on Canadian soil and the tournament organizers are confident that British Columbians will give it the homecoming it deserves. Catch all the action from September 21-26 at the Richmond Olympic Oval, featuring teams from 12 countries, including Canada (2002 World Champions), New Zealand (2004 Paralympic Champions), and USA (2008 Paralympic Champions).
