2010 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships Ticket Program Launched
Ticket Package Prices Easy on the Pocket Book

Richmond, BC, CAN – The Host Society for the 2010 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships launched its ticket package today.

The prices are quite reasonable running at five dollars for a round robin double-game pass, $10 for the semi-finals day pass, $12 for the gold and bronze medal games day pass, and $35 for a full tournament pass.

“We wanted to keep the prices practical for the everyday family,” said Director and Event Manager of the 2010 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships, Kathy Newman. “These prices are set for a family to take the kids to the tournament without breaking the bank.”

Fans that enjoyed the excitement of sledge hockey during the Vancouver 2010 Paralympics will be won over by this hard-hitting, uniquely Canadian sport. Wheelchair rugby was invented in Winnipeg in 1977 and has been designated a Canadian Heritage Sport. This is the first time since 1998 that the World Wheelchair Rugby Championships have taken place on Canadian soil and the tournament organizers are confident that British Columbians will give it the homecoming it deserves.

Catch all the action from September 21-26 at the Richmond Olympic Oval, featuring teams from 12 countries, including Canada (2002 World Champions), New Zealand (2004 Paralympic Champions), and USA (2008 Paralympic Champions).

Tickets are available through the event website at www.2010wwrc.com  or by calling 604-333-3525.
