This multi-sport event will feature 23 sports and approximately 4,500 athletes hailing from 41 countries within Asia. National teams from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Korea will compete in the Wheelchair Rugby competition, which runs 19-22 October.
The benefits that an event like this can bring for the sport in Asia are invaluable as the sport has never had so much exposure. It also marks the first occasion that Malaysia and Indonesia will play in an international event, which is huge progress for the development of wheelchair rugby in those nations.
