New IWRF Athlete Replacement Policy announced

IWRF MEMBER NATIONS

The IWRF has adopted the attached Athlete Replacement Policy for IWRF sanctioned competitions.

This policy will permit the replacement of athletes on the rosters of teams participating in IWRF sanctioned competitions in Wheelchair Rugby after the deadline for roster submission, including after the start of competition. Replacement will be allowed for reasons of illness, injury, or in other special circumstances. All replacements must be authorized by the IWRF Technical Delegate for the event.

This policy takes effect immediately and will remain in force for a period of two years (2018 and 2019). Following this period, the IWRF Competitions Committee will assess the impact of the policy and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors to maintain, amend, or discontinue the policy.
